Members,

Can some body explain me how to do the Panchyatana pooja. What is the slokam etc to be chanted. How I get the Panchayatana shilas.

Prof. V.Krishnamurthy Ji compiled the shiva panchayatana puja vidhi which is a very
prAmANika paddhati that has been handed down by his father who is a great advaita
shAstra paNDita hailing from the parampara of Upanishad Brahmendra Saraswati.

But, the basic necessity is to learn atleast puruSa sUkta.

If one doesn't know puruSa sUkta, then the entire panchAyAtana can be performed
with *praNava followed by vyAhriti-traya* ie., *Om bhUrbhuvaHsuvaH*.

The site pradosham.com has a compilation in sanskrit and tamil called pradosha vidhi wich has the pancAyatna pUja vidhi

R.S Vadhiyar has a publication called Nityanhikam which also contains the vidhi

Sringeri math also has a publication which has the vidhi

Usually the samputam is obtained with the blessings of the elders in the family or priest.

Page 139 they have given Abhisheka Dravyas. How Oil can be used for
Rudra Abhisheka? I have not heard this.

I heard they do Oil Abhisheka for Sani Graha.

Abhisheka Dravya include:

Sugandha tailam, tandula churna, panchagavyam, phala/phala-vargam, ghee, milk, curds, honey, fruit juice, tender coconut, sandal paste, kalasha tirtham

This is as per the vaideeka krama followed in TN. Could differ from region to region.

So, abhisheka performed with tila tailaM wards off apa-mrityu.
